Courtney Loi (she/they) is an editor and writer who is especially interested in books by LGBTQ+, disabled, and/or BIPOC authors. She is currently participating in the Writers House Mentor Initiative and working as a freelance editor. She was previously an Editorial Assistant at Penguin Random House working on the popular Who Was? series, and before that she was an intern at the kid’s division of ABRAMS Books. She believes that people of all ages and backgrounds deserve access to all kinds of reading, and wants books to provide readers with both mirrors to see themselves and windows to understand the world around them. When she’s not working or uploading content to her children’s book TikTok, @cloverisreading, she’s listening to jazz playlists on Spotify or trying new recipes in the kitchen.

Some of her favorite books include What Riley Wore by Alana K. Arnold, Different Kinds of Fruit by Kyle Lukoff, and Stonewall by Martin Duberman.
