Courtney Loi (she/they) is an editor and writer who is especially interested in children’s books that spotlight LGBTQIA+, disabled, and/or BIPOC characters. She is currently participating in the Writers House Mentor Initiative and working as a freelance editor for children’s book writers. She was previously an Editorial Assistant at Penguin Random House, and before that she was an intern at the kid’s division of ABRAMS Books. She believes that all kids deserve access to all kinds of reading, and wants books to provide kids with both mirrors to see themselves and windows to understand the world around them. When she’s not working or uploading content to her children’s book TikTok, @cloverisreading, she’s listening to jazz playlists on Spotify and doodling on her to-do list.

Some of her favorite books include WHAT RILEY WORE by Alana K. Arnold, EVERYONE BELONGS by Heather Avis, and MILO IMAGINES THE WORLD by Matt de la Peña.
